These style yokes don’t have much surface area for a pinion tool to attach to, so this adapter provides a wide area for your 4Link4WD pinion tool to mate up to. This allows for better accuracy when tightening the pinion nut, and prevents possible distortion to the yoke, mounting bolts, and pinion tool.
